Hello Rock,  I was in Bravo Company, Second Platoon, 1/26 INF. at Cooke Barracks from late 1978 through early 1981, but I don't recall your name. I drove every track in Second Platoon at one time or another: B-21, B-22, B-23, & B-26. I know there was a SFC. Rivera, but I believe he was in First Platoon. Please refresh my memory. Take care.

Hello Rock,  It is all coming clear now. I can picture you, and I recognize every name that you mentioned, except for the man from Compton. Check out my posting on the cookebarracks.com "guestbook", and see how many of those names you remember. I hope all is well for you. I am in Michigan, 51 years old, my wife just retired, and we have 2 dogs. I see Gerry Belanger from Bravo 1/26 Inf. quite often. He started off in Second Platoon, then moved to HQ Platoon to drive APC for Captain Hanley. He owns a bar in Detroit, and is doing well. Take care Rock, and have a Happy Easter.

Hi All!
Currie.  There was another Currie in Alpha company in the same platoon as I.  or are you him?   Sgt White was my platoon Sgt. then became the 1st sgt while we were in that french Platoon confidence Training Course.
Roy Hinton was my squad leader and i think he made Cpl right around that time frame.  I believe. Sgt. Richardson? was his name became our platoon sgt after that he was a Ranger paratrooper i think.  Anderson i remember that name there are a few others i can see them in my head but dont remember there names.
I am so glad i found this site.

Any of you Blue Spader's remember SSG John Statton?  He was the Re-Up NCO for the Spaders.  He was also the the Re-Up NCO for 5th Bn, 32nd Armor, Ft. Stewart, GA.  He re-enlisted me before I came to the Planet in March 1980.  Anyone have any ideas of his whereabouts?  He was a cool dude.

Hi Jerry. I don't really remember SSG Statton, Just the name. I just thought I would post because it looks like we were in the same places at the same time. I was in the 5/52 ADA at Ft. Stewart, GA before landing at Planet Gurp in March of 1980. I left the planet in April 1983. I was in the air defense section of CSC 1/26 Inf.
