I think there should be a special area on the page for the Brats that lived on or around Planert Gerp. We are all grown up now and I believe lots of us would like to connect with old friends.

I was there with my mother and step-father from April 1984 to September 1985 (they divorced).

I made several good friends I would like to connect with and it's hard trying to find any websites specializing in Army Brats. Myspace and Facebook suck for these type of searches.

Thanks!

I agree with you Eric, we need a place to reconnect with the non GI part of Gerp. I was there 88-90 coached a lot of the YA basketball and baseball teams. Would really like to hear from some of the kids that played for me and the Gerp YA Raiders. Maybe if we bug Frank enough he'll work his magic and get a hook up area on the site.

Not so good.  I've seen it tried and they quit their forum and creep back in like roaches in a mess hall!

Bob, do you have a brother named Justin?  Seems like you all lived in the building across and to the left of us.

No brother named Justin but a daughter named charity We lived in the second building as you left base going up the hill. Boys are Jeff, Rob, James, Matt. All into sports. I believe the building that was across from us is now gone.

Maybe his name was James instead of Justin.  Did you know Cathi or Traci Killen?

Sandi, have to admit that the last name sounds familar but I'm getting older than dirt.
I'll have to ask the boys, they are within a few miles of me. I'm not sure what your age was then, but Jeff and Rob went in to Stuttgart to high school and James was at the Gerp Elementy (7th grade in '89). I'll ask them, they still keep in contact with a few of the friends they had there.

Cathi was in high school, Traci was in about the 7th and I was in 4 or 5th grade.  My dad is Earl Killen.  Seems like i remember those boys, but I was young.

Did your brother play any DYA sports? I'm sure James will remember your brother, they  are about the same age. Matt was in the 3/4th grade in Gerp. I'll check with them when I see them.

No brother, but 2 sisters.  They remember them, so I am positive that I know who you all are.  We were at the DYA all the time.  I will look in my yearbook and see if Matt is in mine.  I am 30 years old now and he should be around about that.....i ithink

Sorry about that (Traci)--told you I am getting older than dirt. Matt was in the 4th and 5th. Do you remember a haunted house in the building we lived in? We put it on in the washroom and hallway . Had lines the full length of the building., bit off more that we bargined for that night. MP's had to come in and block the road because of all the kids running around. Ya know the more I think back about Gerp the more I liked my time there.

Sure do.  Halloween was the best!  I found Matt in my yearbook, he was a grade ahead of me.  My sister, Traci, was in the same grade and James.  I love all the memories I had from Gurp.

My family was in Goeppingen in 75/76. We lived in the building down the hill from the Officer's Club, there was a playground in front of our building. I found Rose and Ruthie Burbank on Facebook yesterday! That was really cool. My brother's name was Todd Bonner. My father was at the time Cpt. Robert Bonner in Transportation. Anybody else out there living there at that time? Another friend I had was Jennifer Jaulwan.
